WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This course is for those working in the oil and gas (or related) industries, who need to gain a sound understanding of the principles of operational health and safety that apply in their specialist area.
This course consists of five elements (approximately 70 hours of online study at your own pace) that provide valuable knowledge and practical skills in oil and gas operational safety and enable students to identify, evaluate and control a wide range of workplaces hazards in the oil and gas industry:

Health, safety and environmental management in the context of O&G (including hazards inherent in the extraction, storage and processing of raw materials and products)

Hydrocarbon process safety (part 1), including risk management techniques used in the oil and gas industry

Hydrocarbon process safety (part 2), including contractor management in the oil and gas industry

Fire and explosion controls and emergency response in the oil and gas industry

Marine and land logistics and transport operations in the oil and gas industry
The course syllabus is based around international standards, management systems and best practices that enable the effective discharge of workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and offshore.
